LORD, be with us, a selfish people, as we walk unaware May we be with You, a loving perfect God, with each breath of air May our hearts beat for You- the greatest LOVE ever known May we fall prostrate in humble surrender to the Most High God upon HIs throne In your presence we stand, for we are a holy temple On holy ground we are, may we be a Christ-like example May we turn away from our idols, obsessions, and distractions, And refocus our hearts on the LORD Almighty;true satisfaction, NOT our reaction, Get goin’- get some traction! Seek the LORD with repentant hearts, confessing one-by-one Empty yourself of wicked evil a cleansing from the Son. When your heart is truly pure your thoughts will not be your own Your words will be of gentle wisdom, And your bodies will be as one Your sight will be much clearer than it ever was before Your ears will be in tune with the needy knocking at your door May we grasp the reality of our short earthly existence And not get tripped up in momentary resistance May we treasure our eternal relationship with serious diligence and urgency May we wake up from our stupor, hoping it doesn’t take an emergency May your hearts be filled with passion in our purpose, unwavering perseverance Don’t let your feelings be the ruler in your selfish world of circumstance The LORDs word is the only relevance Hence… All we have are perceptions, and truth is fleeting Go to the Word that stands the test of time in a time of uncertainty and defeating His word is truth, power, and divine It is love, life, a rich treasure be sure to find The only one of its kind It tells a story, it confirms a sign It’s full of miracles, one is wine We are the branches and He is the vine If you don’t have a Bible get one to call ‘mine’ The truth is not in us but He gives it to us freely He provides the way through our struggles if we’re honest and look, really LORD, You are the LOVE of my life, may I praise you everyday. LORD, You are the beat of my heart, may I always seek your way. LORD, You are my thoughts, within them I come and pray. LORD, You are my words, may I always gently say. LORD, You are my security in peace I do lay. LORD, You are my Savior, for the price you did pay. LORD, You are the light, from the sun, a shining ray. LORD, You are with me always, in Your presence may I stay. Why would you fight such a love as His? Do you really have another answer to your existence? You’re ignoring, in denial Selfishly looking for happiness with that fake smile Full of deceit, but others see through you You’re fooling only yourself, if you only knew We are but mortal, weak, oblivious to our sickly condition Worldly, contagious, it’s a human tradition Matthew 10:37-39 Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. Can’t believe it, yes it’s true There is but one love, just for you He gave his life, that was his mission For the people he went a fishin’ He gathered disciples by his side They traveled near and far, deep and wide To make sure everyone heard this message of a life that’s meant for you Full of love and fulfillment a divine love it’s true Come to God, your heavenly Father he’s also known The God Most High who sits upon a throne Not to rule with demands and tyranny rage But to rule with love, justice, and grace Heard this story before, but you were confused and lost May God open your eyes and your heart to the cost Of His one and only Son who died just for you To give you freedom from sin and a life that is new Don’t be shy, or afraid, or reluctant of such news Come out into the light, a good choice to choose Turn away from things that only drag you down Turn to Jesus may His love abound Get down on your knees, and repeat after me… LORD, I know that I am a sinner I know that you gave your Son to die on the cross for me To pay for my sins I’m sorry, please forgive me Jesus, come into my heart And be my LORD and Savior I want to live for You and do Your will I ask these things in Jesus name.
